🤷🏻♀️ boys will be boys
[ At first it was just small, innocuous things. Losing his balance, seemingly out of nowhere, partially botching a photoshoot. Getting a multiple choice quiz back from Ms. Bustier only to see less than average grades; feeling like someone changed the answers on him, because he knows he’d chosen some of those right.
Sure, he was Cat Noir. He embraced his bad luck, but things were getting... worse.
Now he’s stuck in bed, with Nathalie, his dad and his bodyguard all taking turns playing prison guard. He’s got one leg in a cast, and the crutches he has leaned against his bedside fall for the umpteenth time. He practically had to beg his dad to let him keep his phone, and he could forget about school until...
Who knows.
Maybe he could sneak out. It would be hard though (read: impossible) with crutches. Sorry, friend, Plagg had said. Not even miraculous ladybug can reverse that. Better tell the master.
It’s been a while now since Plagg flew off. He was worried about him, he could tell. With that thought warming him, Adrien finally reaches for his phone, to spread the word before they get it from the headlines.
That’s one good thing, at least. Having prison guards means he doesn’t have to deal with the paparazzi. But still...

Hey. [ He returns the gesture, squeezing her hand. ] Don't worry about that. I know you'll have her back, just like you had mine.
Plus I'll be back on my feet in no time.

Well, in the meantime, you need any contraband snuck in? I can slither in and out without your bodyguards or your dad noticing.
[She grins behind the mask in that way that only Piper can, full of the harmless deviousness that comes from years of sneaking in and out of places she wasn't supposed to, or sweet talking her way in and out of trouble.]
