[ It isn’t like he’d meant to show up at Piper’s house. Not exactly.

Getting sick meant his house arrest was even more severe than usual, and he only wanted some fresh air. That meant sneaking out to patrol the city, even if he felt like used cat litter doing so. ]

[ More bad ideas: keeping his civilian phone on him while transformed. But he figures it might be useful to know if he gets caught, and his dad triggers a city wide alert or something.

Since that hasn’t happened yet, and literally nothing else is going on, it’s a pretty boring patrol. There is still snow everywhere, but he clears a small spot for himself atop the McLean house and rests there to catch his breath. It feels good to be quietly unnoticed for once. He looks up from his phone for a second to admire the sea of lights across the Parisian rooftops. ]

[ He casts her a sympathetic glance after her story quickly pulls his attention away from whatever was on the TV. There is a smile despite this, though—she did say it was worth it. ]

Well, at least this time you have a fellow camper. But hopefully this— [ he gestures to—well, all of himself, and her too. this cold— ] —doesn’t last that long.

[ A week!! God, he wouldn’t be able to stand it. Though it’s been a couple days already...... ]

Who knows. Time flies when you're sleeping through most of it.

[ She can't imagine his dad would be thrilled about that, but as protective as he is she's also pretty sure he'd want him to focus on recovering over working. The make up period would suck, though. ]

Still, sorry. I guess this is kind of my fault. [ She admits before burrowing down a little more into the blankets. ]

That’s the second time she’s apologized though, and he’s forced to wave a dismissive hand. ]

[ Just then, there’s a knock on her door, and he perks up. The thermos of hot chocolate she ordered, most likely.

He looks at her questioningly, voice low. ]

Oh, right. Should I transform back?

[ or just shut up?? ]
