☃️ let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
[ It isn’t like he’d meant to show up at Piper’s house. Not exactly.
Getting sick meant his house arrest was even more severe than usual, and he only wanted some fresh air. That meant sneaking out to patrol the city, even if he felt like used cat litter doing so. ]
Hey
[ More bad ideas: keeping his civilian phone on him while transformed. But he figures it might be useful to know if he gets caught, and his dad triggers a city wide alert or something.
Since that hasn’t happened yet, and literally nothing else is going on, it’s a pretty boring patrol. There is still snow everywhere, but he clears a small spot for himself atop the McLean house and rests there to catch his breath. It feels good to be quietly unnoticed for once. He looks up from his phone for a second to admire the sea of lights across the Parisian rooftops. ]
You up?

She wasn't expecting guests, needless to say, especially not the kind clad in black leather and with cat ears. Yet when she heard the chime of her phone she picks it up, fully expecting to see Adrien's name on the ID. Maybe even hoping
shut up.He does not disappoint. ]
No, I absolutely am answering the phone in my sleep.
[ She replies sarcastically, managing a tired laugh out loud. ]
Question is, what are YOU doing up?

Cat Noir only chuckles to himself, trying not to let his amusement turn into another coughing fit. ]
Bothering you. Obviously :P

i'm flattered. ;)
[ Without actually getting an answer to the second text Cat Noir will either find or see her window opening up invitingly, but Piper's not going to stick her head out. She's not currently protected by Kwamii magic she's not going to make herself even sicker thank you. ]

But then he hears the window open, and he perks up from his comfortable resting spot, crawling into her vision with a wave of his hand.
Hewwo— ]
Why does it feel like you’re the one trolling me?
[ His voice is a little nasally and raspy, but no less playful, despite being under the weather. He’s got to keep his spirits up somehow. ]

Like she'd ever. ]
No rest for the wicked, huh? Out on patrol?

...He is. Wet. So this may have not been the most considerate thing to do, but he is at least trying to confine the mess he is making.
He shuts the window behind them, shivering as he manages to nod in response to her questions. ]
Yep. But not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse.
Or any butterflies, for that matter.

Maybe Hawk Moth isn’t feeling too hot, either.
1/2
Maybe. Just don't go looking gift horses in the mouth or you might jinx it, tom cat.

[ Grinning, to show that she's joking. She doesn't actually expect him to have been MISERABLE. ]
no subject
Nothing about his expression says “miserable.” He is glad she seems to notice that. ]
It would definitely lift my spirits, chérie, but if you’d rather be alone, I can always go back to being a stray.

Francois, I changed my mind about that hot chocolate refill. Would you mind bringing that thermos up after all?
[ Once she lets go of the button it crackles back to life a moment later, a tinny voice responding- "Of course, mademoiselle, right away." She then walks away from the door again and grabs a blanket and a seat on the couch facing the TV in her room, with an obvious spot for him to join her. It's far enough from the door that he won't be seen even when Francois stops by to drop off his delivery. ]
You've already spoiled me on being alone. It's boring and overrated. Come grab some couch with me. [ She grins. ]

He walks over, tugging that blanket tighter around him and flops down into the spot she saved for him. ]
Thanks! [ He says, in a sniffle. Next to him (on his side of the couch) seems to be a table, which he’s only just noticed. ] You even have tissues, right here. Super convenient.

[ It was loney, with her dad working, but at least she hadn't been made to deal with the boarding school prep squad. ]

[ He casts her a sympathetic glance after her story quickly pulls his attention away from whatever was on the TV. There is a smile despite this, though—she did say it was worth it. ]
Well, at least this time you have a fellow camper. But hopefully this— [ he gestures to—well, all of himself, and her too. this cold— ] —doesn’t last that long.
[ A week!! God, he wouldn’t be able to stand it. Though it’s been a couple days already...... ]
no subject
[ She can't imagine his dad would be thrilled about that, but as protective as he is she's also pretty sure he'd want him to focus on recovering over working. The make up period would suck, though. ]
Still, sorry. I guess this is kind of my fault. [ She admits before burrowing down a little more into the blankets. ]

That’s the second time she’s apologized though, and he’s forced to wave a dismissive hand. ]
Shhh. You and I both know it was worth it.
no subject
He looks at her questioningly, voice low. ]
Oh, right. Should I transform back?
[ or just shut up?? ]
