Piper and her father move to France after Piper has a "nervous breakdown" and hallucinates about monsters attacking her at school. She begins school the same week, and wastes no time in trying to keep a low profile.

THE MAKEOVER
So much for a low profile. After a surprise visit from a strange woman claiming to be her mother Piper wakes the next morning completely glammed up, hair, make up, clothes, all of it. Naturally she draws unwanted attention at school despite every effort to flub the look. After a nasty encounter with Chloe Piper heads for the top of the Eiffel tower to seek solitude, the one place in Paris that she can. She's joined by Adrien, who's worried about her. Since Piper couldn't bring herself to turn him away the two end up talking for the next hour instead, with Piper resolving to try opening up to the rest of the class, and making her first friend in Adrien. He gives her a ride back home.
